A Rose for You

Welcome back stampers. The rose plant in my front yard only had one stalk bloom with two rose blossoms. This gave me inspiration to create a card. I chose to stick with one rose as my focal point.

Thought I'd try a different way to give my sentiment some dimension. Yes I know I can add dimemsionals behind it and I did for a part of it. Do you see the right hand right of the "for you" banner? I rolled the rest of the unstamped part of the Pool Party card stock instead of just chopping it off. How about the sparkle in the rose? After I had stamped in Berry Burst and used my blender pen with Powder Pink, I covered the entire rose in the Clear Wink of Stellaยฎ glitter brush.

Creative Color Combination

The colors found in nature for inspiration.

Best Fishes

Welcome back friends. Recently found out (like days ago) a co-worker put in their notice at work. Their last day happened to be yesterday and well I didn't get much time to create a card for the others in the office to sign but I was able to create one. You know the saying about greener pastures? Well I am being punny with swimming to fresh water. (I'm laughing with my tongue sticking out!). Get it? Fishes? Water? Oh ok never mind, let's get to the card for today.

Here is the inside sentiment. Thought it was appropriate since they are leaving the company.

Creative Color Combination

Moving to fresh water to swim in.

Good Times

Welcome back crafters. Today I'm showcasing a card we received in the mail. Happy mail!!!! We were away in Vermont visiting Scott's parents for Father's Day weekend. While up there I brought a few of my newest products by request of Lynn (my mother-in-law and downline). She wanted to test out the embossing paste. I couldn't blame her because as soon as I could order it I was excited to use it myself.

So we colored the paste with a drop of Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler to get the "brick" color. When we left it was still drying and I really wanted to see what she was going to create with it. I was expecting a photo but never thought I would have received it in the mail as a thank you note. Happy Surprises.

I think the embossing paste was easy to use. After watching Lynn try it and now adding this to her wish list for her next order. I'm not sure she figured it was going to be this simple to color and spread onto the card. I like how the bricks are not completely filled in and all the texture it provides as being a background.

Lynn was also playing with the Adirondack chairs and coming up with different ways to use it to create other items. I remember seeing a fence in process. So to my surprise she created a fire pit. It reminded me of Saturday evening when we all sat around the bonfire in the Adirondack chairs.

Let's have a seat around the bonfire.

For the Newlyweds

Welcome back stampers. As of tomorrow summer will begin and that doesn't always mean hot weather, swimming, vacationing, beach going and burgers and dog dinners, etc. It could also be wedding season! I've used a birthday stamp set to create a card for some newlyweds. If you have any upcoming weddings this would be a quickish type card for you to recreate. You can even personalize it with the colors from the invitation to make it more memorable for the new couple.

Spritzing the card stock with water before running it through the dynamic embossing folders makes a more defined impression.

Do you see the cake stand? Doesn't it look like decorative glass? I cut it out from Vellum card stock. I also used Vellum to stamp the sentiment but not to deter the from the wedding cake.

Creative Color Combination

I love purple and yellow together.
