One Special Person

Welcome back stampers. With spring arriving this week, reminding me that warmer weather is coming (maybe not soon enough - but still on it's way). I'm getting excited to have my lilacs bloom in the coming weeks. Love their smell. Warm weather tends to bring the outdoor weddings. So that inspired me to get a head start on a stash of cards for the upcoming wedding season.

Creative Color Combination

Lovely neutrals with a hint of purple.

Thank Me

Welcome back friends. We have only one (1) week left of the Sale-A-Bration season. Stampin' Up! released more Sale-A-Bration products this past Tuesday.

The following Sale-A-Bration items are no longer available.

  • Card Tin -  March 7, 2017
  • 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper - March 19, 2017
  • Sparkle Textured Impression Embossing Folder - March 23, 2017

Do not fret, there is still plenty of other items you can get for FREE!  When you spend $50 for any Stampin' Up! product, you can choose any of the Sale-A-Bration products for FREE.  This offer is good for every $50 you spend and there is no limit to the number of times you can redeem them. However as we get closer to the end of Sale-A-Bration items will start to deplete and you will not want to miss out. Do not forget the Host Code.

Though the glimmer paper is no longer available, if you were lucky enough to get some, I have a card today that uses it. In place I would suggest that you could use the Blushing Bride or the Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper (with reinker and rubbing alcohol in a spritzer - to the color you desire) in place of the Mint Macaron glimmer paper.

I zoomed in for you to see the Blushing Bride sentiment. I had stamped the sentiment again in Emerald Envy and cut out the "Thank Me" banner to pop off the card.

So Happy for You

Welcome back crafters. Normally I have an idea of what I will create day to day. Either a using a color combination, layout or just in need of a specific card to send to someone. Well my mojo was not where it has been recently and left me panicked for a little bit. I took a look at the bowl of scraps (bits and pieces) and started to pull out random pieces that I thought would look good together. Do you have a scrap bin/bowl/drawer that you store any "extra" pieces? What do you do with them?

Can you believe it? I created this card with just the bits I had left over from other craft projects.

As I layered the different cutouts, I was trying to remember why I cut them out in the first place or what project they came from that I had too many of.  Some were from a few months ago to make Christmas cards and some were from last week. What do you think? Don't be alarmed at the supply list. I have named everything that was used on the card. Remember though, I had these already cut out in the card stock seen. My arm would have fell off cranking the Big Shot if I did all this for one card.

Perfect way to congratulate someone for something great that happened!

Eggstraordinary

Welcome back stampers. Are you getting ready for Easter? I have a quick not much stamping card to show you today. Did you know that you can curl the 1/8" Stitched ribbon? Well you can!

I love how the Whisper White mini pom pom trim comes in handy to give the bunny a fuzzy puffy white tail. I wasn't a fan of this ribbon until I started using it. As it is with everything right? Until you see something created and then get your hands on it to use it then it becomes a favorite. If you switched out the sentiment this would make a perfect baby welcoming or baby shower card.

The softness of the combination of colors is what drew me in. Oh and maybe the elephants too!

Gentle, soft and perfect combination for baby too!

Through the Seasons

Welcome back friends. Did you like that past five days of cards? I know they were all the same layout and used most of the same products just in different colors. I had lots of fun creating them and figured that since they are a "set" of cards (more than 3) that I needed to figure out a way to package them for gift giving.

So I came up with a cute box to hold them. I followed the tutorial I found from Splitcoaststampers. I chose to use Sweet Sugarplum as the main color of the box and decorate the top with all the four seasons to coordinate with the cards.

Each panel uses the respective 2016 - 2018 In Color that went with the season:

Flirty Flamingo - Spring - Flirting with Spring

Emerald Envy - Summer - Envious of Summer

Peekaboo Peach - Autumn/Fall - Playing Peekaboo with Autumn

Dapper Denim - Winter - Misting Dapper Flurries

The box holds the four cards with envelopes. What do you think?

Creative Color Combination

The colors of the year.
