Shaker Sequins Snowman

Shaker Sequins Snowman

Welcome back friends. Only four (4) more days until Christmas. EEEK!! I need to finish up my shopping and get all the gifts wrapped. How about you? Do you have any last minute shopping/gift wrapping/baking you need to get done before celebrating? I would not be a great elf for Santa. Well not this year. I'm generally a little more prepared for Christmas since it's my favorite holiday. I'm just still in awe on how quickly this year has flown by right before my very eyes.

Today's card was inspired by the challenge banner from TGIF Challenges. I just loved everything about the snowman being the focal point with the snow falling and the sentiment of Let it Snow. I made a card just like it. Well an interactive shaker card.

The Sending Love 1/8" Real Red grosgrain ribbon (available in the 2017 Occasions Catalog - beginning January 4, 2017) was just the perfect size to fit along the brim of the snowman's hat. I added the accent of the holly and berries to make it more festive. See the snowman is so happy for his hat he has a big smile on his face.

I wasn't sure if you could see all the different sequins used for the shaker part of the card. Bermuda Bay sequin trim, Metallic Sequins Assortment (picked out the white and clear round sequins) and the Frosted Sequins (only using the Soft Sky ones). I thought it would be fun to match the snow colors since the snowman is made up of the falling snow. Those happen to be in the Bermuda Bay and Soft Sky colors.

Challenge

TGIF Challenges (#TGIFC86) is one of my go to challenge blogs. I was inspired by this weeks challenge banner (see below). Let it snow certainly made me think of all of the snow piling up and wanting to build a snowman.
