Embossed Four Vellum

Embossed Four Vellum

Eye Dr Glass Display.jpg

Welcome back stampers. I was inspired by my eye doctor's office. I know of all places, really the eye doctor? Well let me set it up for you. I went for my annual check up and the doctor asked if I wanted to be dilated. Well if I need to be (and insurance covers it) then go right ahead. So once the drops went in, I was escorted to the waiting area (aka eye glass showroom) to wait until my eyes became blurry. While I was sitting patiently waiting for my blurry vision to arrive, I looked around. The eye glass displays from afar looked like something I could create on a card. The larger glass was going to be perfect as vellum. Then thought about how'd I would get a design on it. Do I stamp, do I emboss or do I have the vellum lay over the DSP? So many ideas were running through my head to come up with something to design. Well once I got into the craft room, I just couldn't stop. I created four different cards. I'm so excited to show you and I hope that this inspires you to love your vellum.

So let's begin with the very first one I made. This thankful card was not only inspired by the leaves in the eye glass display but I haven't used the new leaf punch. So I just had to keep with the leaf theme and found the Painted Harvest had an interesting color combination that just made my card come to life.

You maybe curious about the ribbon I used. This was using two ribbons to get the look of one. The Gold 1/4" Natural Trim fit perfectly on top of the Gold 3/8" Metallic Edge ribbon.

Now onto one I thought would be cute for Christmas. The stockings were just begging to be used from last year. I used the same technique with the ribbon but just in silver.

I thought it would be a great idea to keep going and use my other holiday products. So Halloween was next up.

I wasn't sure that I had many Halloween images or embellishments. I surprised myself, I had some! Besides the cat, I found bats, ghosts and a spider web.

Ok so I've been having so much fun with making these cards I needed to create just one more. I thought of creating a present card.

The Quilted Christmas ribbon curls so nicely. I decided to add the curly cues to make the card more festive.
