Humble & Dedicated Service

Welcome back crafters. Happy Veterans Day. Today is a day to honor those who served who have the fortune of returning home. We should be honoring America’s veterans every day of the year and not just on November 11. The services, sacrifices and patriotism these men and women have made to give millions freedom by protecting our country deserve more than just this one national day to be recognized. A smile and a simple thank you not just today but everyday goes a long way to show your appreciation for all they have done. Thank you to all our veterans, I am forever in your debt. One very proud American civilian.

You know what is really exciting? The fact that the Christmas Around The World DSP had the Red and White Stripe DSP. When I cut it to the size I needed it was exactly perfect to have a Red stripe on the top and on the bottom. And a total of 13 stripes to represent the 13 colonies. So now I was on the hunt for finding a small star to stamp 50 stars on the Night of Navy card stock. Confetti Celebration stamp set had the star I needed. I heat embossed the stars with White Stampin' Emboss Powder to stand out.

I wanted to add the sentiment to the flag but not directly onto it. So I used a piece of Vellum and heat embossed in white powder again. The saluting solider silhouette is adhered on top of the vellum.

Here is the inside of the card.
