Blogging Friends April Blog Hop

Blogging Friends April Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Blogging Friends Blog Hop".

Who are the "Blogging Friends"? We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who have never met before. Well, actually, we still haven't met yet (in person)... But through our common bond of Stampin' Up! and a shared love of paper crafting, we have created a fun new blog hop. Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created.

Each month we'll have a different theme: this month it's using the color Yellow

Wow, it's April already! Speaking of April. Have you been tuning in to watch if April (the giraffe) had her baby? Last I checked still no baby yet. Couldn't imagine how uncomfortable she must be since it's been weeks when the zoo starting a live feed. While on Facebook the other day, I saw this and thought it would be fun for you to try too.

My Stampin' Up! name is Shiny Crushed Curry. How appropriate for a blog hop theme of using the color yellow! So can you take a guess of the first yellow I used?

Yellow? What a challenge and many different ideas have been running through my brain but in the end only two came to fruition. I chose to stick with a celebration theme for my first card. It could be used for Anniversary, Birthday or any occasion you wish to celebrate with cake and candles. Because cake is always a great way to celebrate any occasion.

So by now I was feeling like I had a pretty good handle on using yellows. The first card didn't seem to take long to put together and I didn't overthink about what more to add. I kept the embellishments to a minimum. You know I could go crazy with enamels shapes, rhinestones, sequins and pearls if given the opportunity. I kept the same thoughts going into the next card. Keep the embellishments minimal.

Ice cold lemonade is making me think of summertime. Oh this is no April fool, in Connecticut and the Northeast we are all getting snow, sleet and rain today. Ick!! I just want the sun to shine and the temperatures to be about 40 degrees higher than they are now with NO humidity. I get that I'm asking a lot from Mother Nature but come on! Sip on some sweet lemonade and stop making our lives sour, is what I want to tell her.

In case you've never 'done' a blog hop before, its really easy! At the bottom of this post, you'll see another image similar to the one above, and when you click on it, you'll be taken directly to the next blog in the hop. Keep clicking on that image at the bottom of each blog post, and you'll hop through all the participating blogs, back to where you started - and you'll see all the amazing projects and maybe inspire you too! If you'd prefer to hop about at your leisure, you can click on the individual links for each blog. Happy Hopping!

We'd love if you would leave us some comments (aka - Blog Love) to let us know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by today.
