Glittered Rose Gold Birthday
Welcome back crafters. This week is just busy with co-workers birthdays. My over the wall cubicle teammate, Iyona turned thirty on Wednesday. She has been planning her big 30th birthday bash for the past couple of months. Sure sounds like a wonderful time with family and friends. As I have heard what will be going on, I figured I could create her birthday card with the colors and she is having roses as centerpieces and on her cake too.
The background was a blast to create. It was messy but easily cleaned up. First I colored the embossing paste with Cherry Cobbler ink. Spread it on the Very Vanilla and then sprinkled Gold Embossing powder and Gold Glitter over the still wet embossing paste. Took my heat tool and heated the emboss paste, powder and glitter. I like how you can see some of the cherry color with some sparkle from the glitter and then for others you see they were embossed totally in gold.
I kept my layered pieces some what transparent. I didn't want to hide the pretty background. So I carefully thought about what I used. Vellum, acetate and a rose that had lots of petal space to see through. What do you think? Cleaver, cute or too much? The inside is plain but will have my other co-workers birthday messages of wishing Iyona well for her next year. Thirtieth is heat embossed in gold emboss powder.
Creative Color Combination
Thirty is looking pretty good on you.
