Blogging Friends August Blog Hop

Blogging Friends August Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Blogging Friends Blog Hop".

Who are the "Blogging Friends"? We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who have never met before. Well, actually, we still haven't met yet (in person)... But through our common bond of Stampin' Up! and a shared love of paper crafting, we have created a fun new blog hop. Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created.

Each month we'll have a different theme: this month it's All About You

Welcome to August! Wow summer is moving along very quickly. Before you know it we will be adding boots, hats, mittens and scarves to our wardrobe. Speaking of those items, (it's a nice transition) I chose to use my favorite holiday as my All About You theme.  My favorite holiday is Christmas/Wintertime. Probably because I'm a December born baby. But anyhow onto why you are here.

Today marks the start of the 2017 Holiday Catalog preorder for all Stampin' Up! demonstrators. We get to order one month before the catalog goes live to the public. If you like having the option to get these newest products in your hands before anyone else, you may want to join the Stampin' Up! family to take full advantage of the discount and preordering ability. We would love to have you join us.

One of the stamp set bundles that demonstrators were able to preorder two (2) months in advance was the Carols for Christmas. At first, I wasn't in love with the bundle, but as I saw more and more samples, I changed my mind and needed to have it in my craft room. Here is the first card I had made with the bundle. Check out the blog post here

The music notes in the background were added to the Wood Textures DSP with Sahara Sand ink. I wanted a subtle hint of sheet music. Are you now looking at the card and singing along with me? Fa la la la la la la la la...

Have you used the Boxwood Wreaths yet? Oh my, I don't think I've used them the original way they were intended to be used. I keep unraveling them. First time, I used one was to decorate a mantel (check out that post here). This time I chose to create a decorative garland holding holly. The Night of Navy gingham ribbon was used to make a fork bow.

In case you've never 'done' a blog hop before, its really easy! At the bottom of this post, you'll see another image similar to the one above, and when you click on it, you'll be taken directly to the next blog in the hop. Keep clicking on that image at the bottom of each blog post, and you'll hop through all the participating blogs, back to where you started - and you'll see all the amazing projects and maybe inspire you too! If you'd prefer to hop about at your leisure, you can click on the individual links for each blog. Happy Hopping!

We'd love if you would leave us some comments (aka - Blog Love) to let us know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by today.
