Greetings of the Season

Greetings of the Season

Welcome back friends. Have you made your holiday catalog wish list yet? Well I ordered what I wanted and have a list of other Pinterest ideas of what is a maybe I'll get in future weeks. While was visiting my downline (ok my in-laws) over the Labor Day weekend, I got to create with my Mother-in-law (MIL). Looking through the holiday products that she purchased, I found a few that I didn't buy. So I challenged myself to create something with them before I left.

The first bundle that was a total mental block for me was the Iconic Christmas bundle. I did not wish to color all those little pieces on the tree. I know there were some two step stamping but it just didn't do anything for me. As I sat there for what felt like a lot longer (but really was about 15 minutes) my MIL stated, "Oh just create something!" So without further adieu.

I had an idea to use all the larger images as ornaments to hang off the tree. Though my tree is a bit ruffled. Did you get it? I used the Ruffled embossing folder to get the waves on the tree. I used the Santa hat on the top of my tree because this is what I personally use when decorating my home for the holidays. I have a Santa hat on top and a matching Santa (maybe Mrs. Claus's) tree skirt.

I heat embossed my sentiment on Berry Burst in White embossing powder. I'm liking how the bright non-traditional colors made this holiday card pop.
