Many Magnolias

Happy 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalog launch day! Wow I’ve waited for this day to come for a few months. Having the new catalog since April has been such a tease with all the new products I want to own and make pretty things to share with each of you. Happy Shopping! I can’t wait to create and share more with you to inspire your creativity.

I saw a wonderful card and video tutorial from a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Linda Dalke. She shows us how to color the magnolia flowers in a Whitewash along with Gold embossing. It’s a really gorgeous card. So of course I had to try it. A few times over and also using the Copper embossing too. Thanks Linda. I love this elegant simple look. This could be a top bundle in my craft room right now.

Out of all of the colors I chose, I especially love the Seaside Spray one the best. I’m calling it my rustic chic magnolia card.

I made a few in different colors. Highland Heather, Petal Pink, Purple Posy, Rich Razzleberry (looks like my Magnolia Tree in my front yard), So Saffron. The two that are just in Crumb Cake have no additional color except the Copper/Gold embossing. I Whitewashed the flower petals with the Whisper White Craft ink and then went over the top with Frosted White Shimmer Paint. It gives a shimmer shine that was perfect for a Thinking of You or Sympathy use.
