Heros of the World
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, fathers, grandfathers, step and in-laws the same. You are truly inspiring to each of us in all you do. Teaching us many of life’s lessons, though you may not know it, we watch you even if you may not be explaining the step by step process or know that we are paying attention. We are and appreciate the opportunity to learn from you each and everyday.
I am continuing to play along with Stampin’ Through the Catalog with the next stamp set, A Wish for Everything. I chose to stick with just the sentiments for these cards as I had in mind to pair it with A Good Man stamp set.
My sentiment was heat embossed in white and then punched using the Everyday Label punch. I cut above and below the straight edge to remove the ticket corners. I love having the ability to change the shape of what the original intentional design to use it for what I need. I felt if I kept the original punched shape that there would be too much space on the top and bottom of the sentiment.
My next card uses the same sets. Though for this one I used the image that has a little boy on the shoulders of his father. Something I think dads and fathers do at anytime to make sure their children can see things better. Like if there were at a parade, concert, carnival, zoo, grocery store, etc.
I cut up the sentiment to allow for ease of placement around the images. Don’t you love the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder? I like how much texture is on each individual brick. The gears in the background from the image was not really of any significance to the actual card at first but to just add some dimension and not takeaway from being a masculine card.

To the world, you are a dad. To me, you are the world.
