Blogging Friends January Blog Hop
January 2018.jpg

Welcome to the "Blogging Friends Blog Hop".

Who are the "Blogging Friends"? We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who have never met before. Well, actually, we still haven't met yet (in person)... But through our common bond of Stampin' Up! and a shared love of paper crafting, we have created a fun new blog hop. Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created.

Happy New Year! Hope your holidays were wonderful spending time with family and friends. 2018 is starting off bitterly cold here in Connecticut and the theme of the blog hop couldn't have been more true. When I was informed what the theme was, I started thinking of how I'd stay warm in the winter months. So my first card is sending warm thoughts from a bundled up eskimo.

I started with a background wash in Pool Party and then stamped snowflakes. The eastern medallion was selected to be cut out in vellum to show the snowflake stamped/speckled background. The splatter has a mixture of Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, and Clear Wink of Stella® glitter brush.  The eskimo is colored using the Stampin' Blends Markers.

I've thought of what else keeps me warm and thought what type of a hot beverage does that for me. My go to hot beverage is Hot Chocolate. What's yours? Coffee, Tea, Espresso, Cider, etc? I created a large mug of hot chocolate with a whipped cream topping. The mug is created using the Coffee Cups Framelits. You may be asking how I created the handle, well I created using the "O" from the Large Letters Framelits. Depending on what you may own you could use the "C", "O", "Q", from the letters and if you have the numbers you could use the zero. Though if you wanted a two finger handle you could the number three.

In case you've never 'done' a blog hop before, its really easy! At the bottom of this post, you'll see another image similar to the one above, and when you click on it, you'll be taken directly to the previous/next blog in the hop. Keep clicking on that image at the bottom of each blog post, and you'll hop through all the participating blogs, back to where you started - and you'll see all the amazing projects and maybe inspire you too! If you'd prefer to hop about at your leisure, you can click on the individual links for each blog. Happy Hopping!

We'd love if you would leave us some comments (aka - Blog Love) to let us know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by today.

In 2018, I have been working on creating and designing Ever Lasting Footprints (E. L. F.) card kits available each month. You are able to  choose to have it mailed to you or if you are local (in Connecticut/Massachusetts/New York) we can pick a date with friends, family and co-workers to make the kit together. January's card kit is using the Message in a Bottle stamp set. CLICK HERE for more details about the card kits.
