Blogging Friends February Blog Hop

Blogging Friends February Blog Hop

February 2018.jpg

Welcome to the "Blogging Friends Blog Hop".

Who are the "Blogging Friends"? We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who have never met before. Well, actually, we still haven't met yet (in person)... But through our common bond of Stampin' Up! and a shared love of paper crafting, we have created a fun new blog hop. Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created.

Wow onto month two of 2018!  Whoever said time flies when you are older was SO on point. So let's enjoy every moment while we can.

I may have a different interpretation of the theme of "RED" than the other bloggers. Or I like to think so. I anticipated they may create items with a love or Valentine's Day theme. I tried to stay away from those as I know we will be inundated with those projects over the next few days/weeks. I thought about all things that were red and first to come to mind was food. Are you really surprised? I'm not, I love food! Immediately thought of strawberries.

I'm still thinking of red things. Though I could continue to think of food like: cherries, apples, watermelon, beef, shrimp cocktail, peppers, tomatoes, red velvet cupcakes and jello. I'm sure we could go on and on. But I wanted something that was completely different. Maybe something that no one has created yet

I know I'll be my biggest and worst critic. This is my first time using Brusho® Crystal Colour. I think I will need to practice using this new product line. I took the Brilliant Red and made a splatter background. Looks like I splatted blood. Maybe I should have made a vampire card? Ha!

I took a watercolor paper scrap and made sure the aqua painter saturated the area before sprinkling the Brilliant Red Brusho® Crystal Colour. I stamped the large gem outline image four times and fussy cut each piece to create a large three dimensional ruby.

In case you've never 'done' a blog hop before, its really easy! At the bottom of this post, you'll see another image similar to the one above, and when you click on it, you'll be taken directly to the previous/next blog in the hop. Keep clicking on that image at the bottom of each blog post, and you'll hop through all the participating blogs, back to where you started - and you'll see all the amazing projects and maybe inspire you too! If you'd prefer to hop about at your leisure, you can click on the individual links for each blog. Happy Hopping!

We'd love if you would leave us some comments (aka - Blog Love) to let us know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by today.

In 2018, I have been working on creating and designing Ever Lasting Footprints (E. L. F.) card kits available each month. You are able to  choose to have it mailed to you or if you are local (in Connecticut/Massachusetts/New York) we can pick a date with friends, family and co-workers to make the kit together. February's card kit is using the Ready to Pop stamp set. CLICK HERE for more details about the card kits.
